Father Trying To Stop Other Parents From Facebook Shaming Their Kids in Florida
In a Facebook video shared over the weekend, Florida dad Wayman Gresham
stands next to his son sitting in a chair and tells the camera, “I’m here to teach my son a lesson.” He then speaks about what he’s taught his son: “I don’t teach him to mess up in school, I don’t teach him to be a fool.” After making it clear that his son has messed up, Gresham pretends like he’s about to shave his son’s head but instead asks him for a hug and lets him go.
Gresham then starts speaking to the camera about how parenting should work and that public shaming doesn’t help. “There’s no way in the world I would ever embarrass my son like that,” he said.
“Good parenting starts before he even gets to the point of being out of control.” He continues voicing what good parenting is.
