Lovely Mother toss her newborn with Umbilical Cord Attached from 7th floor window except TheWWShoW
A Bronx newborn didn’t live long enough to get a name — or a chance.
The helpless girl, minutes after drawing her first breath and still alive, was tossed to her death from a seventh-floor Bronx apartment window by her maniacal mother, police and prosecutors said.
Jennifer Berry, 33 — a former child welfare worker — seemed possessed Monday as cops led her away from the horrific crime scene in the courtyard of the apartment building on W. 183rd St.
The dead infant’s umbilical cord was still attached, sources told the Daily News.
Berry said nothing Tuesday as she was led away from the 52nd Precinct stationhouse.
“The devil was in her eyes,” said Kenneth Bolton, 29, who was visiting relatives at the University Heights building when Berry was arrested.
“It was more like (she was) not human. She was deranged, like she was lost. You know, when someone has a look in their eyes like they don’t know where they are?”
Berry was charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter after an autopsy determined the death was a homicide caused by multiple blunt-force trauma.
She told cops the baby was delivered inside the apartment shower, sources said.
