Over $95,000 worth of Belk Merchandise stolen, Ratchet Employee gets Arrested

A Belk employee is accused of taking more than $95,000 worth of merchandise from a distribution center in Union County.

According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Sonya Ann Edwards sent about 135 shipments of merchandise from Belk to her home in Spartanburg.

Edwards was charged with Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent Value $10,00 or more. The total value of the merchandise is $95,945.

Edwards was taken to the Union County Jail.
